Uptown DOC is a veteran in the Hip Hop era and a native from Baltimore, MD. He discovered his love for music at the age of nine when he heard his cousin freestyle. Throughout his years of

experiencing the highs and lows of life, he was ranked as one of the top high school basketball players in the State of Maryland while being raised by the streets. Doc has gone through actual tribulations as he states, “rappers rap about but have not actually lived it”. Doc’s upbringing has caused the hunger and the passion that he has for his music. “Hated by many, loved by few” are his thoughts as there are a lot of people that do not want to see him prosper except for his kids. So therefore he lives by Love & Loyalty, “If I believe and love something, I will fight for it so he is now fighting for his place of hanging platinum albums on his wall. ” Doc’s biggest influence is the notorious rapper DMX. He compares himself to DMX because he says, “We both have a story to tell & I’m telling my story through my music just as X. I write my real life experiences and not what others have seen or heard on TV.” Uptown Doc founded Goop Gang, AKA 2GP in September of 2011 along with Jus Jones, 2 Shot Slab and B. George. As Doc sees himself on the Platinum level he continues to write BANGAS such as “What She Need”,"Lost My Mind”, and “Skipped Over" with two released mixtapes titled, Built for Greatness & Welcome to Greatness.
